Greeks Do It Better
I first need to come right out and say it... I have never attended Easter celebrations with your normal every day Christian folk. This is so mostly because I have never been invited before. But on the other hand I was invited for a Greek Easter and let me tell you it was a good time. The food to begin with was plentiful and delicious, the beer was flowing plenty (although i couldnt help but feel it was preparation for Cinco De Mayo because all we drank all day was Corona). The gambling was just as plentiful and i am proud to say i cam ein second place out of 16 players. And last and possibly the most entertaining was the dancing. The greeks may not be great dancers but my theory is: At some point in history realizing they were not the most rhytmic people they decided to create a dance that would be easily done in both a sober and an inebriated state, and so they came up with this....throw your hands up in the air slowly walk around bringing front leg back back leg front etc... Occasionally whistle or scream OOOOPAH!!! and when to tired to continue get down on one knee and clap. ( now i admit my jewish brethren took a similiar course but Easter is not about my people) So all in all good times were had by all especially those who managed to win the game of $20 high card. (yes it is exactly what it sounds like...pick a card highest card wins the pot) So enjoy the pics And Yasou (i think that is greek).
